Can I bring my own catering?
Yes. The Metro Hall is one of the most flexible Wedding and Event Venues serving New Westminster and the Lower Mainland. Our flexible pricing options make it easy. You can either have The Metro Hall, provide the catering, you can bring in your own food, you can hire a third party caterer or even do a blend. Note: a catering surcharge may be added to your quote for outside catering.
We require strict dietary restrictions for our menu. Will you still be able to cater our event?
Yes. Our menus can be customized just for you. We are accustomed to providing gluten free, lactose free, vegan, vegetarian, allergy free and other options.
Can I bring my own liquor to your venue?
No. We are a fully licensed venue which means that the Liquor Act prohibits bringing in outside alcohol. We do however have a great selection of beer, wine, sprits and fancy cocktails on our menu at affordable prices. Be sure to ask for a copy of our liquor menu.
Can the Metro provide the liquor for our event?
Yes. The Metro is a fully licensed venue. We have a great selection of beer, wine, spirits and fancy cocktails available at affordable prices.
Are Minors allowed in the venue during events?
In short, yes. Minors are permitted during certain functions and at certain times. Be sure to ask an event planner or sales representative for details around your specific event to confirm whether minors are permitted at your event and during what times per the terms of our license.
Do I need a business license to host an event at your venue?
If your event is for profit, you are required to have a valid business license before beginning operation. This includes home-based businesses, commercial and industrial operations and owners of apartment rental properties. Business licenses are also required for companies that are not located in the City but do work within New Westminster such as contractors."

Do you offer free parking at your Venue?
Because we are right in the heart of downtown New West, we don't have dedicated parking. However, there is plenty of street parking outside our building, and our venue is kitty corner to a public two storey parkade.

We are also conveniently located across the street from the New Westminster Skytrain station.
Are there parks near the venue for photos?
There two beautiful parks within a five minute drive of the venue:
New Westminster's flagship park is a 75 acre haven for outdoor enthusiasts and families. Wedding facilities await you at First Street and Third Avenue. Enjoy photo opportunities in the beautifully restored 19th century Rose Garden.
Located next to City Hall at 4th Street and Royal Avenue, this beautiful community park offers the visitor a waterfall and pond, a majestic totem pole, walking paths and benches to relax and the perfect setting for photographs.
Are there hotels near the venue?
Sublime style meets divine comfort at the Inn At The Quay waterfront Hotel in downtown New Westminster.
